Feedback
I sincerely thank you for talking across the
fencepost with your friends and sending them to the Wild Prairie web site and
farm location. I am genuinely committed to your complete satisfaction by
providing you the very best iris rhizomes and customer service. Keep your
emails, cards, and letters coming – it makes it all so rewarding to hear from
you!
When asked to comment, this is what customers have to say:
"I AM SO THRILLED TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought we had lost
you, and I wanted to tell you how spectacularly our iris are doing that you sent
the school!! We have had blooms EVERY month except January!, which I'm sure you
planned, but which was a super surprise for the kids since I told them they
would only bloom in the spring (am I a novice, or what??). I am presently
teaching 10 fifth graders math in an after school program, and I've promised to
"let" them work in the garden if they work really hard. They are going like
BEAVERS!! Thanks again for your faith in us and for your generosity!!" 2006,
Anne P., Media Specialist, Sandersville Elementary School
Special note: This school is in rural
Georgia. Teacher Anne P. initiated a gardening project two years ago with
the young people - it sounds as though they're doing well! Contact
Wild Prairie by email if you
wish to send this school "extras" you have of perennial seeds, rhizomes, or
bulbs - the joy of sharing with eager young gardeners is very rewarding. Or
adopt a school and help them bloom in your own community!
“Not only is Wild Prairie Farm & Market a must see destination as an iris farm, but the
surrounding gardens of herbs and other flowering plants is definitely worth a
trip. The iris beds are spectacular, not only during their peak
season in April and May, but when the rebloomers return in late summer and fall
to show off once again! We were extremely pleased with the way Renee handled our
iris order last spring. The order was delivered in a timely manner for fall
planting with excellent instructions on planting and care of the irises. Renee
Shearer is not only a very knowledgeable gardener and soon to have the title of
“Master Gardener”, but a most delightful person and talented artist. While
visiting her iris farm be sure and look at her wonderfully unique pottery. We
highly recommend Wild Prairie!” 2004 Doris & Earl D.
“Wild Prairie Farm & Market sealed a permanent place on my
"Spring Things To Do"
list last year. Wandering up and down the well ordered beds of exquisite iris
varieties with owner Renee Shearer, who could help but fall in love with these
spring beauties. If it were possible to ignore the kaleidoscope of colored
blooms, Renee's contagious love affair with nature in general and her irises in
particular would surely win the hardest heart. As an unforgettable experience
with nature, Wild Prairie Farm is top-shelf. As a business, Wild Prairie Farm is
impeccable. Renee's well-organized system for preparing her spring iris orders
in the fall includes great planting instructions and tips for caring for the
iris. She even mails cards to customers reminding them to fertilize at
appropriate times. When you do business with Wild Prairie Farm you want to come
back for more - which I intend to do in a few weeks!” 2004 Janice S.
“I’m just blown away by your unbelievable selection and variety of beautiful
iris - I want one of everything! Thanks for showing me how to use Lasagna
Gardening – I tell everyone ‘you have to see it to believe it – it really
works!’ . . . . and it’s working in my beds superbly. Get ready because I’m
telling everyone about Wild Prairie - expect a crowd! Be sure to show them your
great pottery!” 2004 Janice P.
“I just wanted to tell you thank you for all of your kindness and friendliness.
I appreciate you taking the time to answer any and all questions concerning my
iris. I look forward to spring and seeing your beautiful blooms once again.
Also, I have enjoyed seeing your God-given talent in creating on the potters
wheel. You are truly a pleasure to know.” 2004 Teresa S.
“Our visit to Wild Prairie was an unexpected delight as we drove into what
looked like a typical, rural neighborhood with a few houses clustered near large
shade trees. We parked in the driveway and wandered down the path leading beyond
a pottery studio looking for Renee. But what we found tucked away sloping back
behind the greenhouse was an iris oasis – it was like entering a bright sunny
novel – a delightful secret garden. With herbal iced tea in hand and butterflies
fluttering by, to our joy, we spent the afternoon with Renee learning about the
history behind the gardens. And we discovered a vast selection of iris in full
bloom we had never seen before – we could not resist the Rebloomers. It was a
magical day spent with a talented artist who has infused that artistic flair
throughout her gardens, home and pottery studio. As we watched her create
pottery on her wheel under the trees – it was a perfect end to a perfect day.”
2004 Pat B.
“Heyrenee! Thank you for acknowledging my iris order so quickly. When I visited
your farm I was so impressed with the wonderful selection of color and variety,
and I’m looking forward to seeing your new stock available next Spring. My order
arrived in perfect, fresh condition and the rhizomes were more beautiful than I
could have imagined. How’s your gorgeous pottery coming along? I can’t own too
many pieces! I had such a delightful time when I visited Wild Prairie!” 2003
Sandy T.
“Since I know you as a pottery artist, it was great to see the iris side of Wild
Prairie. It is so obvious that you enjoy what you’re doing – your excitement is
contagious! Thanks for being so attentive to my questions – I had no idea that
you were so knowledgeable. . . . . . . I have never seen rhizomes this big – I
was expecting much smaller after buying from other growers in years past.” 2003 Jann O.
“Hey Renee! I was thrilled when I received my rhizomes - they were so fresh,
healthy and large and I just couldn't wait to dig in my garden. I appreciate
that they were packed with care, clearly labeled, and included detailed planting
and fertilizing instructions – your personal care and loving attention given to
my order is amazing. And now I have received a postcard reminding me to
fertilize in February - talk about customer service - you definitely go above
and beyond the ordinary. The photos of the iris blooms on your web site are
incredible and the variety of iris Wild Prairie offers is astonishing. I’d much
rather look on the web than keeping up with a printed catalog. Your FAQ really
addresses my questions – I like that I can access it all year. My blooms in 2003
were exquisite and I eagerly look forward to a spectacular array of color in
2004. I'll be the envy of the neighborhood once again!” 2003 Andrea W.
“Your beds of iris blooms were absolutely gorgeous . . . . . I can’t wait to see
mine bloom next spring! The size of the rhizomes and packaging were so
impressive. We’re looking forward to returning next year to see your new
reblooming varieties.” 2003 Ann & Don N.
“You just do it all! Iris! Pottery! Is there no end to
your talents and energy! Do you ever sleep? Observing the happiness you radiate,
then I guess it’s true about people who are living their dreams – they don’t
NEED sleep!” 2002 Suzi D.
“We were astonished with the exquisite selections and impressive display beds of
iris when we visited your farm recently. We’re so glad we had the opportunity to
visit while in your area! The rhizomes we ordered the year before put on an
incredible show and made us celebrities in our neighborhood – we can’t wait to
see their response to our newest acquisitions that will bloom very soon! We’re
really glad your catalog is online – nice job! We’ve already seen some exciting
colors we want to add this year! 2002 Andrea W.
“Your lovely iris gardens were gorgeous and breathtaking – I was completely
impressed. And when my rhizomes arrived, I was amazed with what a generous size
they were, the robust health, and the beautiful packaging. Thanks for the bonus
iris – how delightful!” 2002 Shirley Z.
“Wild Prairie Farm has the most exotic variety of irises I've ever seen - so
incredibly alive with color and energy in beautiful displays. For me, most of
the irises are affordable, others are an investment - ALL are breathtaking! And
your pottery shows intriguing craftsmanship – I’m so pleased with the pieces I
have!” 2002 Cindy B.
“A perfect gift for my picky gardener - my mother - for Mother's Day. A gift
certificate enables her to try different iris that are not quite within her
budget.” 2002 Penny W.
“I’m writing to tell you I have never seen anything quite as phenomenal as your
Iris selections and display beds. Our Sandflat Art Guild is so excited about the
field trip we have planned to Wild Prairie in 2003. I’ve told so many people
about the farm! . . . . . When my rhizomes arrived I was very impressed with the
freshness of the root system and the size being twice what I’ve encountered with
other iris growers – they’re huge!” 2002 Darlene T.
“I was impressed with the variety and colors of everything we saw! We’re looking
forward to visiting Wild Prairie Farm in 2003.” 2002 Sally P.
